A good antenna in a good location brings more range than any other change.
- Height wins. Line of sight matters most. A repeater on a roof or hill reaches much further than one indoors.
- Matching band. The antenna must be made for your frequency band.
- Short, good cable. Long or thin coax cables lose signal.
- Never transmit without an antenna.
